Default Interior paint?

had the dash out of my truck while replacing the passenger blend door actuator it was sitting on my bed cover and a gust of wind blew it off and well it cracked up pretty bad

I got a replacement same color but it has some chips here and there mostly around the instrument panel bezel that i would like to touch up

my interior rpo code is 52I "Lt Neutral" i tried to search but all the post are old and link don't work, whats the best paint to use? where to get it? part number?

I was thinking about trying this colorbond interior paint from LMC, how did you confirm your code? I'm not sure but I have a 2000 with light interior, according to the link below I guess I would need pewter as neutral was a 2001 and up color but not sure....

I always thought the interior panels were dyed, not painted.

I think the product I linked above is more than a paint as you can use it on headliners too, apparently it bonds to the interior and becomes part of the piece it is applied to, does not peel or rub off etc....if anyone has tried it before post up the results, I am changing my center console/trim to a '03 + up and the one I got is blue so I might try it.

The door panels are dyed to color but the dash is painted. Center console, dash, bezel that stuff is painted.

That paint is extremely expensive for a great quality that lasts...

You will need to find a dealer for the dash paint, give them your paint code for the interior and have them paint it. Alot of work is involved

It's just a couple small spots I'd like to touch up, it probably be cheaper to replace it then have the dealer reprint it

I've used duplicolor interior vinyl paint in the past on my 240sx interior parts and they have held up pretty well. Going from a grey to a black with this paint was easy. Just prepped it good and it's held up very well over the years. I'm looking to do the same to some of my grey interior pieces on my 01 Silverado as well.

I'm doing something similar right now. As stated it's an involved process, here's some of the stuff I'm using and, as always- prep is everything.........

There's one more- it's like a clear/ top coat so it won't scratch, I'll snap a pic of that when I get home......
