Default 22" wheels with a 4/6 drop

I was thinking of getting a new extended cab GMC and putting a 4/6 drop on it with 22" wheels. How do you think it would look? I want it to have a nice stance, but I don't want the wheels to be tucked. Do you think a 2/4 drop would be better? I did a search for 22" wheels and came up with nothing. Does anyone have any pictures of this setup? Thanks

22" Wheels would be pushing it with a 4/6. It will rub the inner finder when you hit bumps . I have 20x9.5 NICHE's w 255/35/20 front & 275/35 20s in the rear w/ custom air bag suspension. I used to ride a 4/6. My overall tire diameter in the front is 27" & 27.5 in the rear. My 20's used to rub some before I fabricated the air bag suspension.

So a 2/4 drop with 22" would be perfect. I don't want any rubbing, it takes the "every day" use from it. But on the other hand I want it to look sweet. Did you put the air bags that go between the leafs and the frame in the rear? I was thinking of doing that so that I can keep the towing capacity. Also do you have any pics of your truck? Thanks for the reply!

go with the western chasis 3//4 with the doetsche tech shock. youll be able to tuck 22's and still have everyday use from it. Im runnin the 3/4 drop right now with 275 45 20 on 20x 8.5 rims. just watch your over all tire height. I know that the overall tier height for my wheel/tire combo is a 1/4 taller than my stocks which are 29.75 inches so trie to stay in that range.

I fabricated some custom brackets up front and relocated the shocks out side the spring pocket for obvious reasons. Out back I fabbed up a custom c-notch & 3 link torsion-bar setup for the added traction. I have Doetsch-Tech's all the way around and the ride is great concidering the 35 series tires I'm riding on. I can lay the frame on the ground and totally inflated it looks 4x4. No holes in the bed either. Pics coming soon

I have a 4/6 drop and 20X8.5 Boyds on 255/35/20's (which are 26.75" tall) and I've never had a problem with rubbing. I tried to test-fit a 24X11" rim w/ 305/35/24 tire on the back and it wouldn't even fit between the rotor and the bedside! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I've wanted to test-fit 22's, but never have. If you want to be safe, I would say the 3/4 is the way to go. I've seen trucks with 22's and a 4/6 drop, but I'm not sure about driveability.
