I'm gonna be ordering a new truck in the very near future.

Does anyone know is the "Xtreme" package available on a 2008 colorado.

i know it was in 07.

the first link said both packages were still available in 08.

even so, i still might be able to order a 07.

i was gonna order a 06' silvy in September of 06' and they said they stopped production of the Classics (99-06) and all you could build is a nnbs. its worth a shot though, perhaps they can locate you one if that is what you want (unfortunately youll be limited to what they have obviously).

ppfffttt. no way, if i wait, i'll order a camaro.

i'm gonna stop up cochran, and have them locate me a 2007 Xtreme, or ZQ8. i searched autotrader, and there is a couple out there.

It was suppose to be available as an option on the 2008 model, GMC even had the option on their website when building a Canyon, but GM decided to hold off the V8 until the 2009 model.

Hopefully they do the right thing with this and get the 6L80E vs. AFM issues sorted out, then install a 5.3 with AFM (D.O.D.) and the 6L80E. Talk about having your cake and eating it too. I would go buy that for a D.D. for sure . Would also be nice if they offered a 4.8 option that had the 799 heads and flat top pistons with AFM, that would probably get great mileage being how light these trucks are compared to a full size.
