If it does get the 6.2L, it will have 403hp. It may get the new 6L80-E auto tranny as well. I guess it could get the 6.2L Denalli engine. It is rated at 380hp. I would hope for the 403 HP engine!
If it uses the same aluminum block, I wonder why it's 23 hp shy of the Escalade 6.2L engine.
More than likely it's all in the PCM program or different cam duration/ lift differences.
We'll just have to see.

you got to give them a break man.... they have a bigger market to worrie about besides dumb ***** like us trying to drag race a fullsize truck.......
lets face it... if they did everything we wanted them to do most of us wouldnt even buy it.... not cuz we didnt want it but by the time we got done building the truck that we wanted it would probibly cost more than vette...
personaly i dont want a fast *** truck from the factory.... then people know its fast and that is no fun..... i like to race cars that everyone knows is fast and wax that ***...... all i know is that half the reson that i love my truck so much is it has my blood and sweat in it and not GMs

But IMO I doubt the silverado SS will get the same engine as a denali or escalade, if anything it will get a more powerful engine. That woudlnt be much of a SSS now would it, better than the current one but still not much of one. I know GM makes stupid decisions at first, and that it takes them and while to get **** right but when they get it right its RIGHT. We saw the 6.2L supercharger engine pics a few weeks ago, we know its for a truck or an SUV... only options on that are escalade-v and SSS IMO. I definetly forsee a real SSS this time around.
