2007 - 2013 GMC Sierra 5.3L And 6.2L Track Times

Depends on what you want to do with your truck an ext cab with a 6.2 is gonna be quick off the bat but a 5.3 single cab 6 speed is gonna take better to evey performance part added. I went ext cab 6l80 and love it have extra room just fits me better and well the power is just stupid lol. What are you trying to get out of your truck?

If thats what you want go with the 6.2 ext cab it will run great with basic bolt ons and even better with a cam. As for the cam for the 5.3 there really isn't a best it all really depends on what you want again. If you looking for just sound with a mild performance gain a lot of guys choose the 212/218 112 cam and go up from there to higher performance cams. But the higher you go the more of a stall your gonna need. Looks like you would be better off with a 6.2 ext tho with what you want to do with the truck.

My bad thought when you typed 5.4 it was a typo and ment 5.3 didn't know you were actually talking about a Ford (wow even my phone has a hard time typing Ford) lol. I really have no idea what cam or cams the 5.4 like. Maybe a Ford guy will jump in on this.
