Default 2003-2006 Intermittent or not working odometer display

Has anyone been able to find and fix the problem of intermittent odometer-DIC display on 2003-2006 trucks? I know it's a common problem on these trucks. All the solder joints look good and solder on the resistors is good. Tried different clusters and they work fine but would like to get the original working. Any ideas?

Probably needs a new display some of them loose pixels or burn up altogether.

You can send it to an Odometer shop and they should be able to fix it.

Thanks for the reply. Just seems strange that it is intermittent like there is a loose contact somewhere. I've fixed the steppers before and lights as well as the PRNDL not lighting up from having a bad connection at the resistors.

Yeah, they don't just have steppers that go out. There are all kinds of things that go bad in those year truck clusters. I gave up and bought a completely fresh rebuilt cluster.

I think some of the displays were just bad. Its also possible its a resistor.

You can always check YouTube to see if there is a quick fix.
