2/4 drop install questions

Default 2/4 drop install questions

how hard would it be for me to install a hotchkis 2/4 on my truck? and do you have any tips?

isnt that front springs and rear leafs. that will be real easy.

It took me with trial and error not really have done suspenion before. With 2 jacks and a couple of stans, took me and a friend 5 hours. The rear leaf springs are easy, just when you put the new leafs on bolt down the u-bolt before the shackle and front eye bolt. Up front the easiest way is to undo the ball-joint, but that can be difficult to undo, i undid the front to bolts of the control arm and compressed the spring and it slid right out and put the new one in. The only hard part about going that way is getting the bolts back through, you have to play with a jack to get the holes to realign to fit the bolts back through.

I forgot you can't use aftermarket shackles, they wont fit up with the hotchkis, so better have your stock ones ready.

yeah, I have my stock shackles. thanx for the info. hopefully I'll have the drop in the next few weeks
