Also, check out American Racing Torque Thrust II's. My buddy just put some 17' wrapped in Toyo Proxi ST 275/60/17 on a 94 Chevy and it looks really good. Plus, those are cheap, easy to clean and come in a 10" wide rim. I will try to get some pics of his wheel/tire combo, but it might not be for a couple days.

John

My father and I are good friends with a writer who writes for or has written for just about every major/minor car/truck magazine you see in news stands and the ones you don't. He promotes a story into a magazine for a company/shop. In return he gets labor and parts for free or extremely low cost. Kind of a equal trade off, he gets parts/labor for free, they get major publicity in national magazines. Since my father and I are lucky enought to be friends with him, he builds are cars/trucks. He has built my father 3 different trucks, all of which got time in magazines. As for me, my truck was a feature truck in the SEMA show in 2000, On the cover of Truckin Times, a feature in Truckin Times, in Street Trucks 6 different times for tech articles (white face guages, air bags, whipple, air intake and a couple I forgett), and will have my tranny build up in a good mag in the coming future. Let's just say the only thing I had to pay for on my truck was the truck itself, the stereo, a LITTLE for the Whipple and a few other bits and pieces.

Does that help explain why?

Here is one that I liked. Even though the back part of the spoke tapers the heaviest main part is one width. I kinda like that. They don't come in 17*10 though and later on down the road I want a tire that will require at least a 10" wide rim so I have to consider that.

I just saw a set of those on a lowered 02 GMC extended cab, except they were 20's, and they looked damn good. They do come in 17x9.5" though, does a extra 1/2" make a big impact on tire selection?

I'll have to check on that. I might get them anyway and just run the 305/60/17 Nittos on them instead of worrying about the other tire. The other tire would require some special suspension work which I'm not going to get into right now. I'm going to check out the backspacing specs and do some measuring in the wheel wells to see how much clearance they will give me.

Those Centerlines are sweet, never seen that style before.

Mine are polished, and yes, a pain in the ***.

$700 a wheel isn't so bad LOL. The back 18x10 3-piece Racing Hart wheels on my Formula are $760 each, fronts $725 . Lets not ask how much 18" Pirellis are either. It makes me

You can check out www.wheelstop.com for some really good prices on Boyds. I don't think we have any sponsors that carry Boyds, so I guess that this is oh-tay!
