Question 17" wheel tire size

guys i have a set of 17" wheels that i plan on using this summer b/c there are a bit lighter and i need to do something with my 20's before the chrome comes completely off....

question is what tire size would best fit for them....keeping in mind that i want to keep them around 28-29" tall...

thanks

Check out this thread by BADMOFO and myself. His truck has 275/60/17s and mine has 275/55/17s. both trucks have drop shackles for suspension mods so they sit the same.

Yeah, I've got 17's with the 275-55-17's on them, and only a 2" drop. Always felt it to be too small. If I had to do over again, I'd go with at least 275-60-17's maybe the 285-60-17's.

The 275-55's are 28.9" overall and the 275-60 are right at 30" I think.
