Default 160T-Stat and Tune????

Here's what happened: I go out to the Silvy to run to the store real quick and there is that orange colored fluid under the passenger side just next to the front tire. Upon futher investigation I found the t-stat leaking. I tried to tighten it but it did not help. The o-ring ended being the problem, is was cracked and partly comming out. I have a 160 power stat waiting to install, but I was waiting to do it when I got a tune. I'm not going out and buying a stock t-stat when I have this one, so I figured whatever and installed it.

Will there be any issues running this 160 for a while till I get my tune done?

shouldn't have no problem. I installed my in before a tune. The only thing is that it will steal run at the same temp(some times),

It shouldn't ever run the same temp again, unless there's air in the system or something is wrong.

So far it runs significatly lower temps. If you were looking at the gauge it reads 160 then three small lines then a large line again. It consitantly sits at that large line, I'm guessing 180ish. With a/c on or with a/c off, in traffic, or just sitting there ideling. I have seen no fluctuation at all which is good.

I was mainly concerned with the truck thinking it wasn't up to normal temps yet and the pcm adjusting air and fuel or such?

Stock gauges aren't accurate! Thats why everybody goes with the aftermarket gauges

Might not have a problem where you live but up north here mine kept triping a code for coolant temp (spring& fall) which screwed me at inspection time. When I got my retune at Ed Wright they took care of it.

Prolly beacuse of your electric fans, engine temp has to be up to turn them on. Does it do the same with your a/c on?

Man has ran up to were it used to from factory once or twice since the install, but I left the truck sitting and ideling for about an hour to do this. I still have the clutch fan so efans would really help out.
