Lookin' good Jake. I wouldn't be worried about the aluminum mount. Alot of big dollar front brakes come with aluminum mounts.

30lbs. is pretty good! General rule of thumb, 1lbs. of rotating mass is worth 3lbs. static weight. Just being able to run that lihter steel wheel will make a big difference.

It's easier to take 1lb. from 100 places, than it is to take 100lbs. from one place!

Big props to Oakley for pulling this off.

I'm going to get the brackets for him.

And I will be doing the 5 lug swap. I purchased custom axles from Moser this morning and have rotors on the way to them to be redrilled to 5 x 4.75.

DLH2006 has already done this swap and 315/60/15 MT ET streets tuck under a flip kit with 3/16" clearance to the leafs according to him. I will be running Racestar 15 x 10 with 7.25" BS (same as him).

I would like to do this for a 5 lug conversion as well. Could you spare an extra set of the backing plates? The setup looks sweet! PM me if you need for the backing plate.

I measured my distance to the leafs like someone asked earlier. Looks like I have 13/16" from tire to spring. That is with a 15x10 wheel with 6.5" backspacing. So when I get some lighter wheels, I'll be going with a larger backspacing.

Right now I'm trying to find 5 lug rotors that will fit my backing plate and calipers. Did some research last night and might be able to come up with something. I'll update this thread if I do.

I'm in the middle of testing these plates out. I need to put some miles on them before I start making more of them. Should be a week or two before I order more from my machinist.

Dam that looks good. Where did you get the wheels. I got drums on mine so no worries there lol.

Thanks bud. The wheels are just some cragar D window 15x10's I ordered through discount tire.

Oakley, how many PSI did you have in the tires when you measured the clearance to the leaf springs? If you had 13/16" clearance and I'm using 7.25" BS compared to your 6.5", it's going to be absolutely touch and go as to whether or not there will be any clearance with the leaf spring. Derek told me he has 3/16" clearance but I'm not sure how the OBS rotor hat changes the depth of the wheel vs the stock NBS stuff.

Also, can you confirm that the stock banjo bolt does work with the replacement calipers? According to rock auto the bolts are the same but I want to confirm. So, you made your own rear SS lines? I was thinking about just buying the Russel kit for all 4 and being done with it.

I believe there was around 30 psi in the tires when I measured. It was up on the lift also. I'm pretty sure the OBS and NBS rotor have the same thickness so that shouldn't matter. I can measure that tomorrow when I get to work for you.

As far as the banjo bolt... Yes, you can reuse the stock banjo bolt. I bought two new ones since they were like 3$ for the pair. You would have to bend the the **** out of the stock banjo and hose in order to use it on the OBS caliper since the banjo flange locations are different. I didn't feel comfortable bending mine and upgrading to stainless steel lines cost the same as buying the stock OBS banjo and hose assembly, so it was a no brainer.
