I thought your bracket might work on the newer 14 bolts. When I switched to my 2 piston calipers they bolted right up and they are the brake part numbers off a yukon that would have had a 10 bolt.

For the guys that have completed this swap... What did you do with the hard line brackets that were removed from the original backing plate? Did you make new brackets or just zip-tie it to the axle?

I was going to make some brackets but realized I didn't need to. I made my SS brake lines short so they hold tension on the stock line where they bolted up to the backing plate. It keeps them in place and it doesn't bounce around at all. I did this on both sides.

I will have to do something with mine since I am using the long stock replacement Earls SS lines. I thought about just tack welding them to the axle. Since I have to remove the right caliper to swap it out for one that works (no fluid flow), I may order the parts to build shorter lines.

Here is how short mine are. It just keeps the stock line hugging the axle and away from the wheel

I picked up two -3an to 10mm banjo hose ends today and tried to modify my Earls SS lines. Evidently the aftermarket SS lines are not standard AN hose but some sort of metric hose. The ferrel was super tight and there was no way the end was going in the hose with the ferrell on. I put a stock rubber hose from my Tahoe on just to get it going till I get the rest of the parts to build new lines. For such a seemingly simple job, this has sure been a pita.

This is why I should supply the fittings and hose with the brackets. It is a bolt on mod if you have the correct parts. I sent out a fitting and hose kit to ideals1. Not sure if he got them on yet or not.

That would make the swap very painless. However the parts are easy to source unless you plan on having the hoses made up already.

I will also add this for future reference... my stock banjo bolt from the single piston rear caliper was a 10mmx1.00 where the OBS calipers need a 10mmx1.50.
