Default 145 amp alternator

Bought a 145 amp alternator with less than 20 miles on it off ebay. Will this go in place of the 105 on a 04 or will I need a new belt. Do I need to upgrade the wires for the 145. Bought it because my stereo will dim my lights at night.

I put a 145 amp on my 02 1500HD with the 6.0 liter. I bought a new belt. The original would have gone on with some proding. It was to tight for me so I went to NAPA and looked up the belt for the escalade, the same engine and alternator from the factory! I think it was about an inch longer.

Easier with a new belt. My original wouldn't quite fit. I gave up after 20 minutes of struggling.
