Talking 12's at last!!!

went out to vmp this past weekend for the super chevy show. did some time trials and bracket racing. i was happy with my times but not my bracket racing, lol. my first time trial pass was 12.982@102.56. my best et was 12.950@97.36. if yall wondering why the mph is so low, it's b/c i was bracket racing against an 11sec s-10 and when i got to the 1000ft mark, i started burping the motor b/c i was way ahead of him and i still broke out my dial in.

i think if i would have stayed in it i could have hit some low 12.80's. i'm verry please with this lil motor and how reliable it is. not bad for a mail order tune. enjoy guys... lance

Congrats on the new best!

I also went to the track this weekend, truck slowed down, I'm not sure what the problem is I'm guessing it was caused by eighty degree weather and high humidity. Damn Louisiana weather.

Man that has to be one of the fastest all motor 5.3's around here. It seems to me there are several people not putting up those numbers with with FI. I bet I have read you signature 50 times looking for N2o or something. Those are some great numbers and I will definately be trying some of the same combinations!!

ok man this is starting to **** me off. ive got practically the same setup as you except im running the stock 3.73 gears and the fastest ive been able to get is 14.47 at 93.61. now that was in 92 degree weather so i am guessing on high 13's in 50-55 degree weather. but that is still a second slower. the only difference is weight. how much did you weigh when you ran those times? i weigh in at 5100# with me and full street trim, 1/4 tank, and a tool box with tools. is there something that im doing wrong during launching? what do you shift at with that cam, im shifting at 6500 in first and 6300 in second. just thought id ask.

Congrats on the new best! I wish I could have made it out there but I wasn't feeling good after MIR on Sat and the medicine I took had me groggy(sp?) as hell Sunday. I really wanted to meet all ya'll.

looks like he is only a few mph ahead of you. sounds like a traction issue on your end.

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. He is 2wd and you are 4wd so right there you have a couple hundred pounds. Then if you take into consideration the extra horsepower loss you have turning the transfer case and front end. This should equal the difference in ET. Just my $.02
