Default 12 Mpg?

Quick question guys its an 04 silverado 4x4 extended cab with 31,500 miles. my gas milage is steadily decreasing. Im down to 12 mpg wtf is going on? The truck is 100 percent stock. I change the air filter, I always use royal purple motor oil truck runs great no problems except for the past 6 months the gas milage has been going down. what do you guys think is going on.

Change the Fuel filter every 30,000 miles...that was what a friend mechanic said to me as he changed out the old stuff and put the new ones in after we bought the truck.

If I'm not mistaken, the fuel filter should be on the inside of the frame underneath the bed.... I've got a 99 Silverado that I just changed mine on, and it was on the drivers side...as long as it is a Gas engine...

The 03+ guys arent as lucky as we are. In 03 they started putting them in-tank.

What gas are you running? octane rating / gas station?
