Question 05 5.3 vs 00 4.8

My buddy swears up and down that his 05 xcab z71 will eat my truck for lunch, all he has is an intake and blowmaster mufflers. My truck is a rcsb 4x4 with a 4.8 an intake exhaust and a tune. He disses my truck all the time and i told him lets run for $100 and now he says no! All that bragging bout that H.O. 5.3 and now nuthin. In yalls opinion which truck do you think would win in the 1/4? what else could i do besides a blower or nitrous that could blow him away?

I think u would win. TM kills and he's pretty heavy. Go with a cam for sure and u'll run circles around him

It might be a good run.

Get a cam, tune, heads.

I have a cam that I am trying to sell.

Mine and a stall would help yes, but not a need.

Im still running without a stall and I think its more fun. You get off the line easy to not spin and then mash it and as ur opponent is about a length on you, you blow the doors off. Hilarious IMO. (my experience racing a dodge 5.7 rcsb with a K&N, so the window said ). And I would go with nothing bigger than 220 duration. I love how mine pulls up top but Im a fan of low-high RPM power.
