Default 03 silverado taking in water?

So today it was raining very hard and I was driving on the highway and a semi got on and I happened to be behind it and it was shooting up all that water like what happens on a wet road and I couldn't get over so It just rained at my truck for at least half a minute and it takes off at a stop slightly differently now,it hesitates for a second then goes. I can't tell if its because its really wet and the tires are spinning because once I go its smooth as ever and powerful, it has a stock airbox so I don't think it could take on water like that but I don't know. Also I went through a deep puddle and it got on my muffler and tons of steam came up between the cab and bed, is it OK to get the muffler really wet or will it eventually crack? (Flowmaster super 40)
Thanks!

If you're running the stock airbox it's very possible that water was rammed into the passenger fender and sucked into the airbox, or went through the foam and got in the airbox, either way water could have gotten into the filter element and be causing you issues.

Just unscrew the 4 screws holding the box together and take the filter out, simple way to find out if water got in.

I looked at the filter and its nice and dry and no water spots anywhere so it didn't take any water in there
