03-06 cluster in a 99-02 Silverado

The 2500s, the Denalis, Escalades, and the HDs had the trans temp. The 99-02 doesn't have the DIC like 03-06/07 classic. The 99-02 has a 100mph speedo vs the 120 mph speedo.

so my question is from that group of 2500 , Escalades etc does the cluster work on the 99-02 1500

There are a few 120mph speedos that are compatible with the 99-02 trucks. The Denalis for one.

You are correct, the Denalis and Escalades have 120 speedos

since everyone likes pictures. this is a denali (square dic) 120 mph cluster in my 2000 silverado.

Very nice, I plan on getting myself one of those soon. Hopefully within the next few months and I will be doing my own LED swapping. Did you have to turn off the air bag light with the soldering?

I bought one of those clusters for my truck (01 2500HD) and tested it for a day to make sure it worked. I don't remember any airbag light coming on or problems with the swap, other than the gauges themselves acting a little wonky probably from age.

Interesting, I have a write up in my bookmarks on how you need to do some soldering to get an airbag sensor to stop flashing or something I can’t remember
