'01 Silvy Fuel Pump Question
#1
Looks like the OEM pump took a dump so looks like I'll be getting a new one. While looking at the pumps I noticed that I have there is the option to purchase one with the K53 code (robust sender) as opposed to putting just the stocker that I already have with the regular sender, which my always stops working when I put new gas in, then randomly works after. I know it's due to the ethanol so that's where my question hingers, is there anything in the wiring that would prevent me from spending the little extra coin and sticking in the pump/sender assembly for the K53 option (I'm assuming flex fuel being the reason)...is it the same plug and play setup or is it a simple wire swap or a no go altogether? I know mine is the TCF (2 wire) but I don't want a shitty sender that will go out on me again, whereas the other is TCU (1 wire) I believe. What's the verdict on those who've dealt with this? Input is much appreciated.
