I raced my buddies 2001 lightning yesterday from a dead start, from a 20 punch, 35 punch, 50 and 70 punch. Each and everytime it was exactly the same. Around 70mph he would start pulling and put about 1 to 2 lengths on me and then it would stay even all the way til we would quit. The first pass I stayed in it till it didn't fell safe anymore. When we stopped I asked him how fast we were going and he said 135! I don't think gm intended a '94 work truck to go that fast! I am only running 11 degrees of timing. I am going to up the boost a couple lbs and raise the timing and ask for a rematch. His truck has went 13.32 at 104 in the 1/4 so I am proud of my old truck.

What is cool about my work truck is that it is a real sleeper. It has 2 rusty toolboxes on the back, is dirty (only gets washed about twice a year) and has 100% quiet exhaust. Nobody would ever expect it to run as good as it does. But by the same token it is hard to get a race 'cause I can't even get a second look.
