What do I need to tell the transmission shop when I drop the truck/parts off for the install? No washers on the 1-2 accumulator or something? Anything else?

Ok this is what I'm looking at for my ~$1000

wait4me tune 157.70
vette servo, HD-2 shift kit, metal accumulator piston, & seperator plate 175.00
Labor?

Without labor considered I have about 650 left. So now we're back to the original question. And from what everyone was saying, I'm looking at gears, posi, and/or an electric fan.

I want a locking rear differential right? so something like this DRI-19559-010-Eaton (Locker 10 Bolt) 30 Spline?

Ok so you recommend to skip the shift kit and stuff and just get gears and a locker. (obviously I'll still get a tune to correct for the gear changes). Can you point me toward a web site where I can pick these up?

How do I know if I have a 28 or 30 spline?

yeah, defintely get something to help that rear end before u do anything, no since in spending a bunch of money on performance if you can't put it to the ground, then after that, sell the useless stuff u got like the shorties and MAF, get the tranny stuff, some LT's and the tune.

What Farmer Beau said makes sense. Check out Thunder Racing for gears and posi. Do you know you can get the dealer to reprogram your PCM for changes in tires and gears? It'll save you a little money now, unless you're going to get the tune now. But, I say get your gears and posi, then get your tranny beefed up, and then get your tune.

Well thanks for all the advice everyone. But now I have some bad news. I'm going to have to hold out until late january early feburary for my differential. I finally broke down and spent money on the wife and not the truck. I got suckered into buying her a minivan. Bye bye $6000, hello new car payment. Good news is that my truck will only be driven bye me to and from work. About a 2.5 mile round trip. So now I dont care about gas mileage. So come feburary I can do some serious modding.
