Default $4.32 for a screw

$4.32 for a friggin screw for my taillight. Some joker tried to steal my taillights thursday night(at church) anyways someone must have walked up on them because the taillight was hanging out of the bed of the truck and i couldnt find the screws....heck maybe thats what they really wanted. 4.32 per screw from the chevy house, and yes ive already tried to find a match at lowe's, hardware stores and a fastener shop. gotta love chevy and their "lets use the strangest part we can find" theory. they didnt have any in stock(like i would have bought them anyway) and the guy says so you want me to go ahead and order those? well, he had already been a jerk to me since i walked in the door so i told him "shoot, forget it! i'll glue those stupid things in there before i pay 4.32" arrrrrrrgh i am mad. anyways just needed to vent.

Try buying some bolts for the flywheel. They run about 6 bucks a pop, same for the bolts that hold the bell housing to the auto trans.

$4.32 for a screw .....is that all you can eat too?

I broke the little plastic retainer on the tailgate rod 2 weeks ago. I went to the stealership, and that must have been the cheapest I've ever gotten out of there. Only $1.37! Still expessive for such a little part, but I was happy to get out of there by just spending some money that jingles.

Hey Flyer I spent $3.50 last week for one 3/4" nut! Granted is was left hand thread but I feel your pain.

I had to have 6 of those fly wheel bolts. Think about how I felt walking away with 6 bolts and 30 bucks less out of my pocket. I think the word 'screwed' would fit well. Oh well, one of those things, I had to have them.
