my 4l60 converters are 3 bolt with the stock flex plate. Is this for a different flex plate?

Yank uses a dual-pattern converter. 3 holes are for the LS pattern. The other 3 holes are for the earlier LT1's (SBC) etc. Two different bolt patterns on the same converter cover.

Correct. This will bolt right up to the stock flexplate on the 60e.
