Default Yank SC3000 4L60E Converter for sale

I've got an extra converter and need to move it on to a new home. Pretty sure I'm not going back FI in the forseable future so there in no need to hang onto this.

Converter is a Yank SC3000. Here are the words from Yank:

SC Series
Our Price: $965.00

Yanks Super charged series converters are built on a 10.5" billet platform with a solid billet lock up clutch. This series of converters are designed to work well with positive displacement super chargers. These models are rated to 1200 RWHP.

One piece roller burnished hub
new torrington bearings
fully furnace brazed pump and impeller
hardened splines
6-lug Billet front cover

They are geared toward guys running positive displacement superchargers like a Magnacharger or Kenne Bell. Doesn't do well with a stroker and big cam. They are just too tight for that. They need the big torque of the supercharger to "loosen them up". I had it installed in my kenne bell H2 and it was great. I daily drove it year round just fine. Was only installed for a bit over 2 years. Then it went on the shelf when I took the truck apart and sold it.

I brought it back out recently and tried to use it in my 402 big cam stroker. It was too tight and I really needed a 3600. Made more sense to buy a new one and sell this one that to restall it (less down time too) so here it is.

This converter has no issues. Clean inside and was only installed on a built tranny that never had issues. Most of its life has been on a shelf (stored with fluid).

Looks great and works great.

Asking $500 shipped.

I plan on installing a blower later on, but for now, what would this act like on a bolt-on 5.3?

Should make a bolt-on 5.3 a ton of fun. It won't be too crazy, but great for a DD.

This converter is very easy to drive and not annoying at all. It is very tight and feels a lot like stock. It will brake stall right at about 3000 rpm but otherwise will feel stock. When you put the blower on it will shine nicely.

I've listed it on here at $500 shipped OBO. The OBO does not mean I will bargain myself down. It means I'm asking $500 and that includes shipping, but I will entertain an offer that YOU make

So... what number did you have in mind? You can PM me if you like

Ok, I gotcha. I have a good lead on a 4L80 for sale for a good price locally. I'm trying to decide if I want to pick up the 80 and go through all the swap crap or just get this converter and beef up my 60. I'll probably decide by tomorrow.

I bought that 4L80, but it really wasn't quite what I thought it was. I may still just keep the 4L60 in for a while and sell the trans I just bought, in which case I would go ahead and grab this. I'm working with a limited budget though.
