Default WTB:Thunder Racing "old man" cam

Anybody have a Thunder Racing Custom "Old Man" Camshaft - 215/220 .600/.523 115 LSA for sale? Anyone ever used one with good results? What is the powerband like? Thanks

I told you you were going to get bit by the "Performance Mod Bug"!

I haven't heard anything about that cam. Hey check the F-Body for sale threads there are a bunch of slightly used cams for sale with decent specs.

Well you know what happens! I like the extra oomph the 6.0l cam gave but now I am wondering how much I could get with a mild cam like that!

I told you if you were going to do it go all the way now you are doubling the work you just did.

Well I guess that's how it goes though. Let me know what you find.

That cam you are asking about is almost on the same lines as my cam. You might be able to find one a bit bigger than mine.

Then we could swap.

I have found a couple you might like if not I would. I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know what I find. If I pick one up you could take mine.

I know I know, I just didn't want a cam as big as yours. The old man cam has stock idle characteristics and stock powerband. It just has huge lift to build power all the way up the powerband. Let me know what you find and we will have to see what we can do. As easy as the cam swap was I am not against doing it again, maybe to two trucks?

I've heard great things about these cams, i was going to put one in my truck, but i decided to go with a whole engine swap. I researched for many days about cams and whatnot, if you have a 4.8 or a 5.3 this is an good choice.
