try calling some other tranny shops and junkyards see if they have any that are pooped out.

I saw a few 4L80E cores for $300-$400. Search by distance an find something close to save shipping....

I've been looking and the only one decently close is $1250. There are some others around 800 or so but by the time I have them shipped it will be over $1000 anyway. Maybe I'll just have to be patient
