Default WTB: Fuel tank sending unit

Is anyone parting out a truck? I need only the fuel tank sending unit. I had a check engine light, and the code came up as faulty fuel level sensor, which makes sense since my gauge is totally messed up-- it jumps to empty like every 5 minutes.

Let me know if you have this part!!

thanks,
Chris

Its been happening in my yukon for almost a year. When I enquired at the dealer they told me "you don't want to go there" as far as price to fix. More like they don't wsant to do it. If it is a sending unit that should not be too much to do. Has anybody confirmed this fixes the fuel gauge dropping to E every few minutes--kicks the lw fuel on the message center too.

I just picked up an 01 and have the same problems. My pump, or check valve rather, isn't doing so well either and after sitting for a while takes a bit to pressure up. The dealers will charge about $800 to do the install. You either have to drop the tank or pull the bed off. I've never dropped the tank, but i helped a buddy pull a bed off to do one at work and it wasn't bad at all. Anyway, i can get them at a little over cost and I think it's still going to be about $300 for the pump/sender unit. Trey, if yours are new and you can beat that please let me know. Thank you.

No mine are used and it is just the senders off the side of the module. That sounds like a fair price for the complete module.
