I don't know if anyone has used one yet or not, but I was poking around katech's website last night and noticed they had a throttle body harness adapter that enables one to "Install a 90mm manifold and GM 90mm throttle body on your LS1/LS6 with ease with this plug and play adapter harness. No calibration necessary." as copied from their website. $50 + shipping.

I haven't called, but I'm curious if this serves the same purpose as the Dr. X harness. I really have no clue but am interested in finding out.

Thanks guys, i got ahold of one.. Interesting on the Katech deal. $240 for a new X seems a little high and hard to believe the only one out there.

The LS1/LS6 were a different DBW than our trucks, so the harness is different than what you would need to go from 8 pin DBW to 6 pin DBW. Here is a link to one similar.

if they are speaking of the same one speartech sells , you need to search a bit more , they require a certain year t.a.c. iirc an 03 or 04 and will allow the use of the 90mm tb for a cheaper price but the tb will open only 85% @ wot . Dr x has a monopoly on this but hey at least we have an option. if it werent for him we wouldnt have anything.

buying new is a good idea in case you have a problem.

Buying new is exactly what i did. Was hoping for an overnight miracle that someone had one on the shelf with the idea of ultimately getting rid of it but knew it was a long shot so i went ahead and ordered. In the end, it's the safe option and an option i am glad to have. This particular project is NOT one i want to take chances on.

The X harness works great. I've got the 90mm Vette throttle body. It opens 100% at WOT, doesn't flap around, easy to install.
