Default WTB: CAI and Hypertech for 00 5.3L

Looking for a cold air intake for my 00 Z71 5.3L. Also looking for a hypertech or equivalent tuner. Would prefer both of them used due to the prices. Cheaper the better!

Get a mail order tune from nelson or wheatly to the right --->

you will be a lot happier with it then the handheld.

I don't doubt it but I'm not looking to spend much on a tune. I'd prefer a handheld just because I could probably get a used one for half the price of the Wheatley tune.

Just by coincedence I read this thread, then left and started browsing craigslist, and found one http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/858063879.html

But its in DFW, so it probably wont help you any.

get a tune man. Usually, they will update it for you for up to a year, even after you get new mods.
After I get my cam and CAI, I am getting one too. Simply for the adjustability if something needs to be tweeked.

The hypertech is not the best route. A friend has been there, done that, and hated it.

A Texas Speed and Performance Mail Order Tune is like $225.

They are a sponsor, so I should be able to post their website. They have great customer service.
