I have a 2000.
I got tired of replaceing air injection valves at $50 a peice.
It only functions on startup.

 

I would move somewhere for a really good opportunity, especially Texas. The people are super cool.

I know a tune can disable it, but I haven't had tuning software in years. Plus, I really don't have enough things done to this truck to warrant paying someone to tune it. Maybe I could find someone local with HP Tuners that will turn it off for a 6 pack.

I just wanted to put out a feeler to see if someone had one sitting in their garage that they wanted to get rid of.

I feel like I asked about an Optispark or if anyone had a TV cable for a 700R4, lol.

 

There just not a common item to have laying around. I believe they were only on cars ordered and sold in california. My buddy has a 2000 also but it came from out of state and he does not have air injection.

Try some wrecking yards.

 

I wasn't aware they were CA emission only. Well, never mind then. I will just put up with the annoyance until it can be changed in the tune. I know a trip to a junk yard would probably be a waste of gas.

 

This is something that is definitely thrown away about 99.9% of the time when any modding is done, or a problem arises on the vehicle. I have thrown many of them in the trash myself.

 

I've got one off my 02 T/A. Not sure if that will work, just let me know.
