Ok so how are you any further along when your CEL won't turn off?

9/10 states have at least a visual and I'm pretty sure no state will pass you if you have a CEL on.

 

im sure that there is someone you know that knows someone that does inspections, i took my truck to my guy, windshield cracked in front of the driver, MIL on, no cats, no muffler dumped in the y pipe collector location, and i didnt have my insurance card. Now tell me that i can pass inspection.

 

I have the stock y-pipe with cats, 70k mile on them. PM me if you're interested. They are off a 2000 Silverado X-tended cab 4wd. You could always chop them out.
