Default 06 truck

How well will this work on a 06 Silverado with a 5.3?

I see it has no intercooler correct.

Is this for trucks that have the airtube in the headers? I do not have that at all.

Thanks in advance.

pretty sure it would work on any 99-up fullsize, but, if you have a electric tb it would be tight up by the firewall on the pass side. someone on here put an older whipple (like this one) on a 03+ truck with success but he had to take a sledge hammer to his firewall to make it fit. Whipple will sell you an elbow type thingy to make it work but it's not cheap.

I'm the meat head with the big hammer. The fat electric TB takes up more room and the lower cowl area on the firewall needed a nice dent to make it fit. Been about 15K miles so far and it sure is nice to have the extra torque on my overweight Z71 Tahoe.

BigTex, do you have the dual belt version. If not then I could see the throttle body hitting the firewall (cowl). Dual belt version should be farther away from the cowl.
