Default Wanted

Looking for 2 things, first is I need a pigtail for the temperature sensor that goes in front of the radiator for a comp/temp mirror. I have the sensor and I have wire ran to it, but no way to plug it in.

I also need a retainer, pin, or whatever it is called that holds the headlight in place. You know, the L shaped piece you turn and pull out that holds the headlight in. I am retarded and when I pulled the headlight out in the truck earlier to run the wire for the above sensor, I layed the retainers on the battery. Well I put the headlight back in as I was wiring and forgot to put the retainers in. Found 1, but no luck on the 2nd one.

Why do you need a plug or for that matter why did you have to run any wires for a temp./compass rear view mirror? Everything you need is already part of your wiring harness. I installed one on my 2000 Silvy and all I had to do was buy the mirror and sensor. The factory connectors were taped to the harness if you did not have that option on your truck from the factory. Take a look for the connectors. You should see them.

I have read some trucks had the wiring some didn't. I found the harness tucked under the headliner for the mirror, plugged it in and the compass works fine. Searched all behind the grill for the temp harness, but is wasn't anywhere to be found. I read about where another person traced the temp harness to the fuse box under the hood and it terminated at a plug on the side, 4 wires in and only 2 out. You guessed it, the other 2 were for the temp sensor. I pulled the fuse box cover off, and sure enough mine terminated on the side as well, right next to the battery. So the only wire I ran was from the fuse box to the grill.

It is a temperature sensor for the rear view mirror. It makes the display on the mirror show the outside air temperature.
