Default Price Cut-Vortech Supercharger, Meth Injection & Magnavolt Fuel Pump Voltage Booster

The boosted 5.3 in my 2003 Avalanche is loosing cylinder 7 after 289k miles. I've got a NA 460 hp 6.0 long block on the way. (Now installed.) I'm selling my Vortech V-2 supercharger along with a meth injection kit and Magna-volt fuel pump voltage booster. Truck made 380 rwhp last summer on a Mustang dyno.

Includes:
- bracket that supports supercharger and alternator
- air tubing running from stock airbox
- airtubing that runs from the supercharger to throttlebody
- relocated intake air temp sensor and port for meth injection in the latter tubing
- oil feed and 2 oil return lines and fittings
- 2 supercharger pulleys (larger of the two made 380 hp)
- Fuel Management Unit (I never used it but previous SC owner did on his 2002 truck)
- Bypass valve and associated hoses
- Two serpentine belts (not guaranteeing how long they'll last)
- Vortech Supercharged license plate frame
- Magna-Volt Fuel Pump voltage booster (I bought it used from another member but never installed it)
- Meth injection kit (extra windshield washer fluid tank where second battery would be installed holds methanol)

Supercharger is still on truck - will be taking off when new engine which shipped today goes in. Supercharger rebuilt with high-speed bearings November 2013 - about 20K miles on it since then. Installed second oil return line per recommendation from Vortech due to engine having high pressure / high flow fuel pump.

Asking $2100 plus shipping for everything.

Edit - Willing to separate if someone doesn't want the meth injection and pump voltage booster for $1950.

I'd like to sell everything together, but will split things up if no one speaks up for wanting everything. Want to give it a couple of days to see if anyone wants it all.

I might be intrested in just the supercharger. Could I get this to work on an 08? What injectors would I need?

I've been running marine 8.1 injectors - I believe they are rated at 41 lbs. I intend to run them on the new engine. If you have a flex-fuel engine (or the injectors from one) they flow more than the non-flex-fuel engine injectors and depending upon how high you want to rev the engine they may be marginally ok.

The same holds true for the fuel pump. I run a Vortech brand inline booster pump (their smaller one) and was dropping fuel pressure before hitting 6K rpm, which is why I bought the pump voltage booster. (I plan on running the booster pump with the new engine as well.) The meth injection though was keeping my AFRs around 12 but I didn't want to be depending so much on it working, not to mention that I believe it's not reacting as quickly as the fuel injectors when I go straight from little to wide open throttle.

As far as an 08 - I don't know why it wouldn't. I presume that the accessories bolt on to the Gen IV engines as they do for Gen III but I don't know that for a fact. Throttle body may be a different size but that can be addressed with a different coupler. Stock airbox location relative to the engine may be a bit different as well but I'd think that could be dealt with fairly easily - if nothing else just go with an open cone.

Would be happy to have you take a look, listen, ride, whatever. As of now everything is still installed on my truck. I'm driving it some - through HPTuners set the PCM to not register misfires unless the coolant is above 212. With my 160 t-stat coolant stays well below that and my high stall torque converter is locking up for me since the PCM isn't recognizing the #7 misfire. (The converter not locking due to the misfire is what caused me to know something was wrong with the engine - it still pulls much harder than when bone stock.)

Can also help out with tuning your truck for the price of the HPTuners license for your VIN ($100).
