Hey guys, I'm the one who finally decided to pick up Jeff's rims and tires. I really liked the clean look his rims had, and for the price I couldn't go wrong. Jeff has been a great guy to deal with. I should be getting them in and mounted on Monday of next week, I will make sure to post some pictures. I also hope to have a DHM e-cut out and ASM headers coming in early next week. Later

Thanks guys,

Blown Chevy...I'm up in the Bay Area, unfortunately there aren't many guys up my way. Is that your truck in the project R ad? Sweet ride if it is.

Slowverado, my 03 is a pewter rcsb with a 4.8 and 3.42's I know you hate the 4.8's lol. All I have right now is a magnaflow exhaust system, 2 inch drop, custom ram air induction, custom ported tb, billet grille, and a bed cover. I would have a lot more mods but it's hard to get the money when I'm still in High School. I will probably be getting a 2/4 drop and 4.10's w/posi in a month or so, the 4.10's should help spin the 20's a lot better. Down the road I plan on puttin in either a 383 LS6 or a built 6.0 liter kind of like what you want to do.

Jeff: What's up. What's next for your truck now? Engine swap? Blower?

how does that Magnaflow sound? you have cats on it still don't ya? i have a good friend with a heads/cam SS with a magnaflow cat back and it sounds about as sweet as anything i've EVER heard. probably just gonna drop the other motor in there on my truck as soon as Jantzer motorsports finishes with my heads and spray that. my dad and i are starting a different project (still ls1 powered) with a Chevy II so we're gonna build a big nitrous motor for that and do some et racing, and a little back alley action also. not to bad on your setup for a young guy. keep us posted man. 4.8s aren't that bad when they belong to nice guys, it's just that most guys are asses about it.

The magnaflow's I have sound wicked. I will take some video clips once I get the e-cut out and headers on, that is if I can figure out how to get video onto the web for free. When I drive around on friday and saturday nights, I usually cruize on a pretty big avenue where all the car guys show up. It's great dropping it into nuetral when I see the played out 5.0's, revving the **** out of my 4.8 and totally scaring the crap out of the 5.0 driver and anyone around on the street. It seriously has a pretty insane roar for an almost stock 4.8 above four and half grand. I have a friend with a mint 69 chevelle with a 350, his car sounds muscular compared to mine at idle, but once my truck gets revved up a little it will absolutely embarrasses his chevelle, and I know it gets to him

Let me know when you get your 6.0 bolted up, sounds like it should rock. On another note, do you have any idea of what a cam install would cost on a truck like mine? I would like to get a little extra poop out of my 4.8 for now without spending too much, until I drop a bigger engine in. The 4.8 in my truck seems to run a little out of breathe at around 5,000. A 3000 stall would probably compliment a more aggressive cam pretty well too.

Oh yeah, I still have cats on mine. I would love to get rid of them, but the emmissions laws in the tree huggin state of Cali are just so god damned strict it's not even worth the time.
