im looking for a rear end (the whole thing) for an 03 1/2 ton 5.3L silvy i need the disk rear with the locking diff.... mine is locking and unlocking randomly and is about to go according to the dealer ... since i have no idea how to rebuild a rear i'll just buy a used one.... thanx!!!!!

 

why not just buy a locker?

 

i have a 4.10 g-80 with under a hundred miles on it! & has an alluminum summit girdled cover!- paid $ 1000 + cover- let go for $650 + half freight! also have a 3.42 g-80 with 73000 miles on it ! works perfectly! $450 + half freight.

i'll keep you guys in mind.... it'll probably be a few weeks till i get the $$$ from my tax returns to pay for this.... i just moved and if you've ever done that you know what kind of a toll that takes on you bank acount! i was thinking about replacing the locker and ring and pinion but if i get a rear with better than stock for the same or less $$$ and less work what the hell???? any way she'll have to sit for a while

all motor... havent had a chance to run on the nitrous yet... tracks are closed during winter and i installed the nitrous after xmas.... have ran it on the street though and it's almost like i added another motor!!! until i ended up with this rear problem....
