Looks like its a clutch type where the Truetrac is a worm gear type.

 

im just tired of the one wheel spin.. Will this fix my problem or is it the samething i have now with limited slip causing mainly one tire spining.. I have an 05 silverado joe gibbs..

the unit will only fit an 8.5 rear 1989 to 1998 it will not fit the 8.6 rear used after '98 due to the size of the carrier bearings

yes it works with a 3.42 gear and with the stock 30 spline axles
