MagnaCharger
#22
Here is what I sent Ebay:
"I won this in December and turned out to be a fraud. At that time Ebay canceled to sale. This same ad (exact same wording and pictures) has been posted at least 5 times in the last 9 months. Each time the seller lives in a different state, 1 time as a women, the rest as a man, with different names and always 0 previous sales. Each time the seller fails to correct the internet link to Magnuson Superchargers and overstates the horsepower and torque. Each time I see this ad, I report it. This is the work of some sort of organized crime. I posted my experiences on www.silveradoss.com, under the user name of "Silver LT". I posted a picture of the supercharger several months back on that website - take a look. I am not trying to be an ebay cop, but I would hate to see someone lose $2,000 like I almost did. An easy way to find the scam is to search the "SEEMA" (which sould have be SEMA) in the ad."
In my case, the seller sent a very official looking letter stating that wire transfer of funds was the recommend payment method (which it is not!). When I told "her" that I would only proceed with the deal if it went through an escrow service, I did not hear back and by that point Ebay canceled the sale. I have seen this ad placed from New Jersey, Arizona and Vermont. The current sale has been canceled twice in the last week! A 7 day sale, followed by another 7 day sale and now a 3 day sale. I hope someone gets caught!
