Does anyone know what does "Cable EDW mean"? According to his ad he had it on an Avalanche, is that the same thing?

Also, according to another forum its a scam. According to them its been sold 4 times already and pulled off by ebay as a fraud twice. It also has the same mis-spelling of SEMA each time.

Real or fake? Personally I dont know for sure, which is a bummer because I added it to my watched items list on ebay and had plans to bid on it, now I'm not sure if I should or not

I wouldnt bid on it if I was yall... I just lost 2000 on a set of wheels that was a scam!

There a few red flags here the SCREAM scam:

First of all, if this guy was really located in the U.S. (in Guilford, VT, as stated in the ad), then he would not say "2000 US$" - he would have just said $2,000. Anytime there is a menton of "USD" or "US Dollars" or "US$" - you can almost rest assured that it's a scammer from overseas. Think about it - if you live in the US, why would you make a point of saying that the price is in US Dollars?!

Here he is trying to solicit a sale off of eBay by having you contact him directly to complete the sale, which 99/100 times points to a scam.

First of all, poor/strange grammar is a sure sign of a foreign scammer. Also, as dc_justin pointed out, eBay does not inspect or verify any packages. The scammer threw that in there to try and establish a safe feeling by making you think it will be inspected by eBay before it is shipped to you, but really all he did is give you a clear sign that it's a scam because anyone who has ever used eBay before knows it doesn't work like that.

What, so he's going to ship a 200-lb supercharger kit via 2-Day Air?!?! I don't think that's even possible with any courier, but even if it was it would cost some big $$$$ and no seller in their right mind would include that in the price at no additional cost. Again, he's trying to make you feel safe by telling you that you'll have it in 2 days from when you pay for it. That's what these scammers do, is they try so hard to project an image of a safe transaction that it actually makes them stick out like a sore thumb, and it's very obvious to tell that it's fake.

For all those who bid, retract your bids. And if you don't retract your bid, at least don't pay for it if you end up winning....you'll regret it because you will be getting scammed.

By the way, I reported this listing to ebay today (Sunday @ 1:24am PST), so let's see how quickly it gets pulled...
