I have a crankshaft, rods, and pistons from a 2005 5.3 L33 aluminum block truck engine. Low mileage and well maintained, these parts are in EXCELLENT condition. The pistons are flat top full floaters. $175 for all

Do you still have the valve train ***.? My 5.3 is from a 2000 and I imagine the heads are the same?.. anyways, I have a horiible cold noise in the valves i am sure.. I have heard the piston slap statements but this is def. valvetrain noise as well. (I hope) I have been looking for a block to build an engine while waiting for this one to go but have decided with the performance this motor has (slowly losing power). The rocker arm assembly is not adjustable? not like i have sen on the previous s.b chevys. maybe you have some suggestions...
