How much power are you planning on? Other than a fresh rebuild I wouldn't think you'd need a built one. My Camaro is a 6 speed and will make 700ish whp and will only be freshened. Seems overkill

If I hadn't have gotten one built locally, I probably would have gone with one from Tick Performance. Or search ls1tech for other similar companies.

700hp in a camaro doesnt mean much when your putting it in something alot heavier like a pickup truck. When i get a t56 for the truck itll be build

Heavier by about 1k lbs. I think he'd be fine running 200 hp less on a relatively stock T-56.

I would def want a built one, the one in my truck was built by D&D and has taken a lot of abuse. The t-56 in my camaro was rebuilt by t56rebuilds before they went down. I beat on the stock tranny and it gave up the second gear syncros. DONT SKIMP ON THE CLUTCH!! I'm running a spec 3+ in the truck and it has been good to me. Good luck
