I know man. I already told him there are 2 cranks for these motors.
The 5.3 and 4.8 use the same rods as well.

He wants the smaller motor tho.

That's cool. With the way my mind thinks I just don't even consider the fact that someone might want a smaller engine!

No they don't. The rods and crank are specific to the LR4.

I just can't see why he wouldn't want to go ahead and make a 5.3 or 5.7 out of it while it's apart. My LS1 swap made all the difference in the world, and even gets better gas mileage than the 4.8 did!

Either way, good luck w/ the swap.
