Default ISO 2004 5.3 ext cab Gas tank

Like the title says, I am hunting a gas tank for a 2004 Silverado ext cab, 5.3, gas. GM parts direct has it listed as 15749436.
Thanks I hope.

Bump. Any suggestions. I ordered one and the part where the filler neck connects to the tank is snapped off. Well probably was cut off. This is my DD and I'd rather not put the tank in the bed.
I'm having an *** of a time finding this freaking thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a tank from a 99-02 style, you could probably swap over your sending unit parts and install the older style setup and rock and roll

No, the top hole of the 99-03 is different than the 04-06 which is also slightly different than the 07+.

Your best bet is going to be a salvage yard.

They are very helpful. The salesman that ordered my tank had a hunch that the wrong tank came in yesterday. He asked me to send the picture of what I needed to his cell phone. Low and be Mickey fickey hold, the tank that came in was wrong. He assured me that he would get the correct tank. My tongue was in my cheek. However, he found the correct tank and it was there by the next day. Today! Almost within 24 hours. I was elated. Especially since the tank was cleaner than mine and it wasn't butchered, lol.

Thanks guys
