I was just pointing it out no harm done. You just never know if someone knows the difference. And you cannot see what transmission is covered in the first picture. Just making sure someone doesn’t get something other than what they needed. I happen to glance at this was not looking for one. Not trying to offend anyone. Its simple to post up stuff correctly.
Well bud,we really don't need your input or "making sure" of anything..I got this boss man..So i understand that you say no harm,but why be a smart *** at the end? If you dont want it,why does it concern you at all? I am a Gm parts man for 22 years..I can do all the making sure just fine here
Hey everyone I’m looking for a lil help on knowing what’s gone wrong with my newly rebuilt 4l70e.
lil background on my build, I have a 08 Avalanche with a LC9 5.3l in it that had a collapsed lifer with the afm system on it so I decided to pull the whole engine n completely rebuild it and delete the afm system. The major upgrades include that I Re-sleeved the cylinder with .5mm oversized mhale pistons with new rings, had the engine balanced, changed out the cam for a Texas speed stage 2 cam 212/218 duration n .550 lift with new valve springs, fully ported my aluminum cylinder heads and shaved them down 3000.In for higher compression since it’s duel fuel n 85% of the time runs on propane, put in hardened seats n valves to handle higher propane temperatures,new fuel injectors on both gas n propane fuel system, also had the computer reprogrammed to reset the the rev limiter to 6000k n increase the fuel injectors flow to 100% and get rid of the throttle body delay.amd put in shorty stainless steel headers. Besides all that I literally replaced every other part on the engine including electronics n sensors.
When I had the engine out I decided to pull the transmission n take it into a shop to get it rebuilt n upgraded, I figured since I put so much time, energy n $ into the engine I wanted to make sure the transmission was up to the job n would be good for many years to come.
The transmission Is a 4l70e. There was no issues the the transmission previously but I wanted to overhaul it make sure it’s good for many years to come. I asked the tranny shop to put in raybestos HD clutch ring, replaced the factor sprags with front double gauged hardend sprang n rear wide heavy duty spray, upgraded to beast sun shell, upgraded to corvette servo, new raybestos pro series Kevlar band and a transformers shift kit h2.
I asked to have the solenoids replaced asvwell as the solenoids butheb said he tested them and they were working fine...
Now my problem is I have litteraly drove about 40km with the truck since everything has been finished n when going down the highway in 3rd the truck tried to shift to 4th but lost the gear, was like I went into neutral, not only did I loose 4th I also lost 3rd as of then.. now I permanently have no 3rd n 4th gear only 1st 2nd n reverse
What do u think happened ? Lost my 3/4clutch pack ? Or a bad sprang or a bad solenoid ??
