I have a 4L80e that came out of an 2wd 01 or 02 g van (i think). I do not know what is wrong with it but it wis a good rebuildable core with a tc. anyone want to give me an offer or trade me a good posi with 3.73's(no gov-lock)? i am open for any trades.

sorry man we replace so many rather than rebuild them. I am a medium duty tech and gm will not let us rebuild them under warranty and I just got lucky enough to snag one that they were going to through away. I have one that i am working on now that just has reverse slipping so that may be a better core seeing that I know whats wrong with it. i it sales then i will just swap the one i have now and send it back for the core instead of the slipping reverse. It is a gm goodwrench reman in a 99 w-series 4500. It is behind a sfi 5.7l.

 

How much to just buy it?

ok the trans job sold so i will swap it with the unknown trans. the one for sale now is a 4l80e behind a 5.7 sfi truck. the only prob. is that reverse is slipping.other foward gears work fine.and fluid is dirty but not burnt. any takers? make me an offer.
