How would this cam work in a 4.8 with headers, hpp3, intake, exhaust, and 100 shot?

i think it would work great in that. i have a 4.8L as well, but with my converter i just wanted to try and go a little bigger than that 212/218. if you eventually got a converter it would only make it better though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

What does it cost to get these things installed? How long does it take?

Is there any tuning involved with the installation of a cam or do you just drop it in and go? What kind of HP/TQ increases could i expect from this cam?

you can usually find someone to do the install for around $350 or you can install it yourself as it isnt that hard of an install. But you will need some ls6 valvesprings to go with it which can be had for ~50 bucks.

as for power gains, nobody that i know of has ever put one of these in a 4.8L but when they put it in a 5.3L they got over 40rwhp from it. i would expect the results to be about the same in the 4.8L

So, did you buy the cam used or has it never actually been in a truck?

Bryan...how quickly do you need the $$$? This is the cam I want, but my annual bonus won't be in the bank until Thursday after next (3/6).

Lemme know how long you can wait....if not, I COMPLETELY understand.
