FS: 6.0L Shortblock

6.0L iron block. New rod bearings, and main bearings. This comes with block, crank, rods, pistons, lifters (with retainers), cam, timing chain, top cover, front cover, rear cover, oil pan, ported oil pump, pickup tube and windage tray all assembled per GM specs (and my personal pickyness for precision) and ready to go... It also has pretty much all sensors as well (no oil pressure sensor though). All you have to do is put your choice of heads and intake on it + accessories. I can include the crank pully for it if you want it for free.
Turns over great, and ready to run. Would make for an easy swap with your existing 5.3L or 4.8L
Asking $1000 neg. buyer pays shipping. Motor is located in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX
I also have a crate ready to ship it in, so if this is the first motor to sell, they buyer will not have to pay any crating fees

Forgot to add that I can include complete stock 853 casting heads assembled and on the block for an additional $500
Everything is new gaskets and new bolts (where required)

I'm not certain on the year. From looking through the block and parts, I would guess it's a year old. The cross-hatching on the cylinder walls and the condition of the original bearings looks like it has about 10,000 - 15,000 miles.
All the internals are stock. I picked this block up from a fellow racer and with any motor I acquire, I go through it with a fine tooth comb to make sure it's in good running condition, and always replace the parts that can be replaced easily and relatively inexpensively. If anything is damaged, it gets replaced with good parts. All tolerances are checked out, and everything is checked for out-of-roundness, etc. etc.

I'm an IT guy for NAI... but in my spare time, I work on my car, and about 50 other guys cars around town... I've been building LS1's for almost 4 years now. Not sure if you recall the old cam install how-to that's floating all over the internet now... I wrote that back when the MTI T1 and B1 cams were the biggest cams in the LS1 world
Keep them questions coming

From: Texas, it's like your state, but better.
the motor is a 2001+. this one on particular had aluminum heads and the shorter LS1 style crankshaft flange on it, so it will work with an LS1 or truck 4l60E ;D i will also vouch for Matt, he's a good guy, i've known him for about 3 years now, and he is true to his word, and a darn good mechanic.

yeah, I know the cranks are different pre 2001 (longer). I've layed this crank next to a spare 5.7L crank I have and measured every aspect of it, and it's identical in every measurement, except for the lack of drilled main journals that the 5.7L cranks have (and there's no pilot bearing since it was mated to an auto).
Thanks for the kind words, Vince
I know my post count on this board is low, but I do more reading than posting here. Been a long time member of several other enthusiast websites though.
The more questions, the better! I know laying down hard earned cash on a motor you've never seen can be a leap of faith. Rest assured, I will stand behind my work and my word, and give you any and all info you you can ask for that I have the knowledge to give.
