FS: 5.3 Shortblock or Block, your choice
#1
hey guys n gals,
My original plan was to build a 5.3 and swap it. The block is in very good shape, but could use a nice machine cleanup on the cylinder walls, i lubed it once a week and its all surface rust a machine shop would easily be able to clean while its getting honed.
Its a dis-assembled shortblock (crank, rods, pistons, block with valley cover). Bolts we're trashed so you'd need an ARP kit. Motor had 66,000 when pulled out because of a bad piston ring. Motor was in a turbo truck. I have a stock 6.0 cam that can go with it as well.
dunno what to ask, so really its OBO but since i need a price...
$300, pickup only, or will meet within a reasonable distance.
I'm 50minutes north of champaign, IL, or about 45min from remington, IN.
Thanks,
Dave

sry about the late response, i'd have to check on shipping costs chad. I sent you a PM with the pictures.
I'll try to see if i can't find a scale that won't break unless someone knows the approx. weight of a 5.3 bareblock? i can weight the rotating assembly no problem but i think the block would crack my glass scale.
