chuck sent me this letter just now, sounds prety promising to me, anyone want a good tranny? if no one jumps on it i am going to have him set it up for a 2wd so it is more sellable, not sure why he is asking about the 5.3/6.0 but it should be the same. someone must wnat this thing, it cost $2400+trade+shipping if you got it from him new.
Jim, Let me know what your plans are for the next vehicle, I need to know 2 or 4WD so I can put the correct output shaft and tail housing on. I will also need to know if it's going to be a 5.3L or 6.0L too. The part that did us in was the reaction sun shell, it actually bent the metal from the torque that you were putting through it. I actually never have seen anything like this before happen. But with the weight that you where carrying the H/P and TQ sometimes will find the weakest link. That's why I wanted you to beat up on the trans so I could see what the limits were. I already have a new piece being made of thicker metal to correct this from happening to you or the rest of the guys out there. I still think that maybe in a 2WD where there is a little more give on the starting line that this trans will be ok. Did you sell your truck already?
