This is what I found on Katech's site.

Gen 3 / 4 Rod Bolts Extensive testing by Katech for GM’s LS1 ASA engines showed the production rod bolt to be the weak link in the stock bottom end in the LS1 engines. Our rod bolt is the best you can get and fits production connecting rods without having to re-hone them to size.

From LPE's website

These heavy-duty rod bolts fit the LS1, LS6, LS2, LQ9 and all other GEN III & IV V8 engines. These are the same rod bolts specified for use in the ASA race engines. These bolts are produced from H-11 material for extremely high tensile strength with threads rolled to J-Graded specifications. These bolts are recommended for high RPM engine applications and high output engine applications. MJ9 x 1.600 rod bolts are manufactured for by A1.

Sold in sets of 16

Rod bolt torque specifications: .006 - .008 stretch
Clean new A1 rod bolt with oil/mineral based solvent
Apply 20W50 oil to rod bolt threads
Remove one bolt at a time
Install new bolt one at a time Torque to 50 lbs ft

These are the best rod bolts out there IMHO. I had these in my old LQ9 and spun it well over 6K quite a few times and not a hint of problems.

Good price too!
